2.3 X-rays properties
The main properties of x-rays are:
Invisible to the human sight.
Propagated in straight lines with the velocity of light.
Unaffected by electrical and magnetic fields.
Can be reflected, refracted, diffracted and polarized by interactions with special materials.
Capable of ionizing the matter.
Differentially absorbed by matter, depending on their energy and on matter composition, density and thickness.
