5.2 Sampling strategies
Depending on the information available for a given site, different sampling strategies can be designed for laboratory analysis. Similarly, the pathways to be followed and the spots to be selected can be defined for in-situ measurements.
The measurement strategy for in-situ measurements can be always redesigned and additional measurements to be carried out, whereas laboratory based studies in general can afford only limited re-sampling due to time and financial constraints.
